Laura Atkins

Laura Atkins is co-founder and principal consultant at Word to the Wise, a boutique email deliverability consulting firm she started in 2001. She has worked professionally in email since 2000 and previously led the outsourced abuse desk for the Mail Abuse Prevention System (MAPS), advising ISPs on complaint handling and policy. Atkins is widely cited in the deliverability community for her writing on sender reputation, ISP relations, authentication standards, and anti-abuse policy. She is a regular speaker at the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG) and has been featured on industry podcasts including Mailgun's Email's Not Dead and Postmark's Talking Email.
