Email address checker, before you send.

Paste one address and see in a second whether it shows the signs of a bounce: a broken format, a domain that cannot receive mail, a throwaway or shared inbox, or a typo of a big provider.

Free, no signup. We read public DNS for the domain and never email the address. Nothing is stored.

Signals, not a verdict.

There are two ways to check an email address. The first reads what is public: is it well formed, does the domain have a mail server, is it a known throwaway service or a shared inbox. That is what this page does, and it catches a surprising share of bad addresses in a second.

The second asks the receiving mail server whether the mailbox exists, which is the only way to know for sure, and is how a full email verifier works. This page does not do that, and every result says so. Catch-all and mailbox existence are always marked not checked.

Why it matters for cold email.

Every bounce tells the mail providers you are emailing people who did not ask for it from a list you did not clean. Our deliverability guide puts the line at a bounce rate under 3%, and a few bad batches are enough to cross it and start landing in spam.

Typos and dead domains are the cheapest bounces to prevent, which is why they are checked first. Role addresses rarely bounce, but they reply less and complain more.

Checking a whole list.

For a list, check every mailbox, not just the signals. Paid FoxReach plans include verification credits every month: each lead is tested at the mailbox level during import or from the leads list, and a lead marked bad is skipped when the campaign sends. Read how it works in our guide to email verification for cold email.

Questions,
answered.

No, and it says so on every result. It checks the signals you can read without talking to the receiving mail server: format, whether the domain accepts mail, throwaway and role inboxes, and typos. Whether one exact mailbox exists, and whether the domain is a catch-all, needs a mailbox-level verification.

A shared inbox such as info@, sales@ or support@, read by a team or by nobody. Cold email to role addresses gets fewer replies and more spam complaints, so most senders leave them out of a list.

An inbox from a throwaway service that expires within hours or days. We check against a list of well-known services. New ones appear all the time, so a clean result here is not a guarantee.

A domain whose mail server accepts mail for any address, real or not, so a mailbox check cannot tell a real person from a typo. Catch-all addresses are a risk in a cold list because some of them bounce later.

This page checks one address at a time, up to 10 a minute and 60 a day from one network. To check a whole list before a campaign, paid FoxReach plans include monthly verification credits.

Neither. We look up the domain in public DNS and never contact the mailbox. The address is not stored, and our logs keep only the outcome.

Clean lists,
fewer bounces.

FoxReach verifies leads at the mailbox level, skips the bad ones when a campaign sends, and sends the rest from warmed-up inboxes.
