Block list
Stop FoxReach from ever emailing an address or a whole domain: add entries one by one, paste many, upload a CSV or use the API, and see where the list is enforced.
The block list is the workspace's do-not-contact list. Put an email address or a domain on it and FoxReach will not send to it from any campaign in the workspace, will not import it, and will not let you add it to a campaign.
It is per workspace. An agency's client workspaces each keep their own list.
Open it#
Go to Settings, then the Block list tab. It shows every entry with its type (email or domain), where it came from, an optional note and the date it was added. Search by part of an address, filter by Emails or Domains, and export the list as a CSV.
Add entries#
Click Add.
- Paste. One entry per line, or separated by commas. The dialog counts how many are valid before you add them.
- CSV. Upload a file with an
emailordomaincolumn, or a single column with no header. - One at a time. Paste a single address or domain.
An entry is an email when it contains @, otherwise a domain. acme.com, @acme.com, *.acme.com and https://acme.com/pricing all become the domain acme.com. A domain entry also blocks its subdomains, so acme.com stops jane@acme.com and jane@mail.acme.com, but not jane@notacme.com.
Entries already on the list are counted as duplicates, not errors. Values that are not an email or a domain are listed so you can fix them; the valid ones are still added.
What it blocks#
- Sending. Before a campaign email is queued and again just before it is sent, FoxReach checks the lead's address and domain. A blocked lead is stopped in that campaign with the status Blocked and the email is not sent. If the check itself cannot run at that moment, nothing is sent and FoxReach tries again on the next pass.
- Imports. CSV imports, the API and Lead Finder skip blocked addresses and report how many were skipped. Skipped rows do not count against your contact limit.
- Single leads. Adding one blocked address as a lead is refused.
- Campaigns. Adding leads to a campaign skips any whose address is blocked and tells you how many.
- Single emails. Sending one email to a blocked address is refused.
Replies are not blocked: if a blocked contact writes to you first, you can still answer in the inbox.
Unsubscribes are added for you#
When a lead unsubscribes, their address is added to the block list with the source Unsubscribe. The lead is handled exactly as before; the entry means that deleting the lead and importing the address again does not make it mailable again.
Remove an entry#
Select entries and click Remove, or use the row action. Those addresses can be emailed and imported again. Leads that were stopped in a campaign resume when you start or resume that campaign.
From the API and MCP#
The block list is available in the API, the Python and TypeScript SDKs, the CLI, and as the list_block_list, add_to_block_list and remove_from_block_list tools in the MCP server.
