# Notifications

> The in-app notifications the bell shows, read and marked read with an API key.

Notifications are the events FoxReach already emails you about (a campaign finished or was paused, an inbox disconnected, an import finished, a payment needs attention) plus interested replies, grouped per campaign. Read state is per person. An API key acts as the user who created it, so these endpoints read and update that user's notifications in the key's workspace, the same rows the bell shows them.
