# Jobs

> Read the status and result of background jobs: lead imports and email verification runs.

Jobs are workspace-wide and read-only. An API key sees every job in its own workspace and nothing else; a job from another workspace returns `404`. The `type` filter takes the job type as a string, for example `lead_import` or `email_verification`.

Lead imports started from the dashboard return a job id, and so do the verification runs they trigger (`result.verificationJobId`). Pass either id to [Get Job](/api-reference/jobs/get-job) to poll it.
